How it all began

Welcome to Brotherhood Designs Corporation

We're Scott Carr and Rob Demlow — professional firefighters with over 46 years of combined service in central Indiana and more than a decade working side by side.

We've pulled hose together, sat across from each other at the kitchen table on shift, and spent countless hours with our families outside the firehouse. Somewhere along the way, between the calls and the downtime, we discovered something: we think differently when we work together. One of us starts a vision, the other finishes it. Station logo projects turned into creative challenges. Creative challenges turned into something bigger.

It started with a single flag.

We took a section of retired fire hose — hose that had been charged on real calls, used to preserve life and property — and crafted it into an American flag for our firehouse. That hose was headed for a landfill. We gave it a second life and a story worth telling.

We made a few more for the people closest to us. The response was overwhelming. People didn't just want a flag — they wanted to be part of what it represented: pride, service, sacrifice, and brotherhood.

In January 2022, we turned our passion into a mission. In January 2025, we took the next step and became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation — because this was never really about building a business. It was about building something that honors the men and women who serve while they're still here to see it.

Every hose has a story, and we're just getting started telling them.
