Shaun, a member of FORVIS’ Forensics & Valuation Services, works with a wide variety of clients and organizations providing business valuation services.  He has provided services to clients in numerous industries, including health care, manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, fabrication, retail, construction, computer software, insurance, advertising and marketing, engineering, architecture, professional services, technology and food service.

He has performed business valuation services for more than 20 years, completing in excess of 4,000 valuations during that time, including valuations for estate and gift taxation, ESOPs, going private transactions, purchase price allocation in accordance with ASC 805, goodwill impairment testing in accordance with ASC 350, C corporation to S corporation conversions, litigation support, dissenting shareholder opinions, stock option grants, fairness opinions, divorce proceedings, mergers and acquisitions, segment spinoffs, buy-sell agreements and other tax, litigation and corporate-related matters.

Shaun is a past member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Business Valuation Committee, which is composed of 12 valuation experts in the United States.  This group provides leading-edge technical guidelines and high-quality educational offerings to CPAs practicing in the area of valuation services.

He is a member of the AICPA, Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS) and American Society of Appraisers and a prior member of the Emerging Leaders Alliance of INCPAS.  Shaun also holds the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential awarded by the AICPA and Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) credential.

Shaun is a 2004 graduate of Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, with a B.S. degree in accounting and a minor in finance and management information systems.

Beth Michalak was raised in a small town outside Toledo, OH. She is the granddaughter of a WWII Veteran and the daughter of a Vietnam War Veteran. She studied environmental policy & analysis in college while volunteering in wildlife rehabilitation. Beth has a diversified portfolio in management and 6 years banking experience.

After homeschooling her children through to middle school, Beth found her passion in banking and currently manages the West Carmel Security Federal Savings Bank. Family is of utmost importance to her, and she is grateful for the support of her husband and sons.

Beth is excited to be getting back to the roots of her major in college as she embarks on this journey as a board member for the Brotherhood Designs Corporation. 

John W. Weingardt, CPA, is a shareholder of Crossroads Advisors with over 35 years of experience in public accounting. His public accounting experience has been with a national CPA firm as well as a sole practitioner. John’s experience has an emphasis in taxation, closely held businesses, estate planning, and exit planning for business owners.

 John has assisted his clients with their tax and small business consulting needs. John is skilled in all phases of the entrepreneurial journey including formation, tax-saving strategies, profit improvement, and the eventual sale and monetization of the business owner’s interest in the business.

 John is a graduate cum laude from the University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor’s of Science in accounting, economics, and business administration. He is a licensed CPA in the state of Indiana and is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of CPA’s.

 John is active in politics in the City of Fishers. He currently serves as a City Councilor and is chair of the Budget and Finance Committee. He is on the board of directors at Launch Fishers, an entrepreneurial workplace in Fishers, the Fishers Police Foundation, the Riverview Health Foundation, and Phoenix Theater. In his spare time, he enjoys classic car collecting and spending time with family and friends.

 John lives in Fishers, Indiana with his wife of 39 years, Tina. John has three children: Ashley (Chris); Abby (Ben), and John (Sarah). John also has five grandchildren (Ellie, Quinn, Clara, Birdie, and Baker).
