BTVFC chief corey comperatore
Training weekend we provided to BTVFC in January 2026.
Helen Comperatore attended and supported the weekend in honor of her husband Corey!
Corey Comperatore was from the Pennsylvanian community of Sarver, in Buffalo Township, USA. He was married to Helen Comperatore and had a sister and two daughters. Read more…A tooling engineer, Corey volunteered as a firefighter with the Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company and was a former chief of the fire department. He was also a Christian and regularly attended church.
On July 13, 2024, Corey, his wife Helen and his daughters Allyson and Kaylee attended a rally by Donald Trump, former president of the United States who was running for re-election that year. The rally took place in Butler, Pennsylvania.
During the event, a sniper opened fire on Trump, slightly injuring him but firing shots into the crowd and wounding several people. When Corey realized what was happening he used his body to shield his daughters and prevent them from being harmed. Attempting to kill Trump, the assassin shot Comperatore and two other bystanders before being killed by the Secret Service detail protecting the event. Corey lost his life that day doing what he did each and every day…..protecting others!
Forceable entry door prop by Firehouse Innovations that we donated to the BTVFC in honor of Corey.
