THIBODAUX VOLUNTEER FD
The Story - Thibodaux Volunteer FD Flag Dedication
The Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department is one of the most historic and community-driven fire departments in the United States. Established in 1874, TVFD has proudly served the citizens of Thibodaux, Louisiana — protecting a vibrant college town and surrounding communities with a roster of 500+ dedicated volunteers across multiple generations, from long-time family traditions to Nicholls State University students and local high school probies. With deep community roots and one of the nation’s largest volunteer rosters, TVFD is also known for its beloved Thibodaux Firemen’s Fair, a multi-day tradition that attracts tens of thousands of attendees each year and is a major fundraiser for the department. (Thibodaux Firemen's Fair)
We are honored to present BDC Flag #112, crafted from retired fire hose from the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department. This Engine Series flag has been completed and is ready for its official dedication as a lasting tribute to the courage, heritage, and brotherhood of Thibodaux’s firefighters.
This meaningful project has been generously underwritten by Danny Huston of NAMidway, who provided the flag and support for our travel to Louisiana to participate in the grand opening celebration of their newly renovated administration building. We are humbled by his support of both the Thibodaux community and the mission of Brotherhood Designs.
We look forward to celebrating with the department and community this year. If you’d like to join us in honoring TVFD’s legacy or support similar mission-driven projects, your involvement is welcome — whether by attending the event or contributing in a way that aligns with your capacity and passion.
