BDC Flag #118 was crafted from authentic retired 1-3/4” fire hose from FDNY. This custom, one-of-a-kind flag has the Pledge of Allegiance printed on the white stripes of the hose.
This flag was up for auction at the Heroes Defense Annual 9/11 Tribute Gala in September of 2025.
Tyler & Mattie Worton won the auction outbidding a room of nearly 400 attendees. What makes this even more special is that this is the 2nd BDC custom retired fire hose American Flag that the Worton’s have purchased from a Heroes Defense gala.
A year prior, in September 2024, the Worton’s won flag #84, the very custom “Tragedy To Triumph” flag again made from retired FDNY fire hose.
