Flag #114 - The District Tap Northside

Every mission needs believers willing to go first.
The District Tap Northside became Brotherhood Designs Corporation's first-ever Title Sponsor with a $10,000 contribution—a commitment that goes far beyond a check. Owners Bob Kort and Michael Cranfill, along with Director of Operations Bryan Hillard, didn't just say they believed in BDC's mission. They proved it by giving the organization a platform inside one of Indianapolis' most popular gathering places.
Flag #114 now hangs where you can't miss it—a rustic Engine Series piece with a single coupling that draws your eye the moment you walk through the front doors. Beside it, a plaque tells visitors where the hose came from and what it represents: service, sacrifice, and lives dedicated to protecting others.
The partnership started with an introduction from Justin Davis of Fishers, owner of LeafSpring School at Geist. That connection grew into something with real purpose behind it. Now, thousands of patrons who come for the food and atmosphere leave having encountered a story they might never have heard otherwise.
The District Tap didn't just sponsor Brotherhood Designs. They gave BDC a stage—a place where conversations start, where people ask questions, and where the mission reaches audiences who never knew retired fire hose could carry so much meaning.
As Scott put it while wrapping up the installation: "The District Tap might have the best Buffalo Chicken Wrap I've ever had."
Authenticity at its finest. Partnership at its best.
To The District Tap team—thank you for believing before you had to, for giving Flag #114 a home where it speaks loudly, and for proving that the brotherhood of service extends far beyond the firehouse doors.
Every hose has a story. Now thousands more people will see that story every week.
