Flag #99 - Graham Rahal Performance

Flag #99 | Graham Rahal Performance | Zionsville, IN | 2025 | Tiller Series

The Tiller Series exists for spaces that demand something extraordinary. Flag #99 was the first.

At 6 feet tall and 11.5 feet wide, crafted from 3-inch diameter retired fire hose, this flag commands attention. It had to—its home is the new GR Brands campus in Zionsville, headquarters of Graham Rahal Performance, where precision engineering meets a deep commitment to community and veterans.

Graham Rahal built his reputation on the IndyCar circuit, but his work off the track runs just as deep. Through the Graham & Courtney Rahal Foundation and initiatives like "Riding with Rahal" on Veterans Day with United Rentals' Turns for Troops, the Rahal family has made supporting veterans and first responders part of their identity. Annual events like Vino for Vets and the Drivers Tournament benefit organizations like SoldierStrong, turning horsepower into help for America's heroes.

When Brotherhood Designs needed a home for their most ambitious flag yet, GRP was the right fit.

The connection came through Shaun Duffin—longtime friend of BDC, now a board member, and a GRP customer who saw an opportunity to bring two missions together. Shaun purchased Flag #99 and donated it to GR Brands, ensuring the first Tiller Series piece would hang where its story would be told and retold.

The dedication brought together the people who make both organizations run: Battalion Chief Steve Hayes and the engine crew from Zionsville Fire Department representing local service, Tony Murray from the Professional Fire Fighters Union of Indiana standing for first responders statewide, and the GRP team who welcomed everyone into their new space.

Graham Rahal put it simply when GRP shared the installation: craftsmanship with purpose—sustainability that symbolizes service and sacrifice.

Flag #99 set the standard for what the Tiller Series can be. Massive in scale. Intentional in placement. A statement piece for partners who share BDC's belief that honoring those who serve isn't a slogan—it's a commitment.
